Meet Karolee Alexander, LCSW
Education: In 2003, I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. I specialized in the Criminal Justice Domain.
In my Bachelor’s of Science studies, I focused on Substance Abuse, Child and Family Development and Women Studies.
License: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Experience: I am honored to say that I worked as a Residential Therapist at the House of Hope Women and Children’s Substance Abuse Treatment program in Salt Lake City for 5 ½ years. I was been given the official title of “Mother of the House of Hope” in 2009 and “Grandmother of the House of Hope” in 2010. I was privileged to work for the Department of Corrections Region III in Salt Lake City for 1 ½ year providing individual, group therapy and educational groups. This last year, I worked for Davis Behavioral Health as an Outpatient Substance Abuse Therapist.
My Philosophy: If I care about you, I meet you as a person. You matter in my world. You are a concrete, separate entity, who unfolds before me. If I fail to see you as a person in your own right, I know I am lessened as a person. Let’s celebrate our differences and the possibilities for growth. For each of us life is full of so many challenges, but also many great opportunities. “There is nothing permanent, except change” (Heraclitus, 6th Century, B.C.).

Meet Dr. Carol Hunter, PharmD
Dr. Carol Hunter is our pharmaceutical consultant. When the counseling staff has questions or concerns regarding client's medication, Dr. Hunter offers valuable information. She discusses side effects, dosing schedules, and other questions that clients and counselors have. She also suggests questions that client's may ask of their primary care doctors. She is a valuable resource because when it comes to working with our doctors, we often do not know the questions to ask or how to express certain concerns about medication.
